In the previous season, Durant amassed an impressive 1,366 points in just 47 games, which was comparable to his performance in the ’21-’22 season, where he scored 1,643 points in 55 games.
Looking ahead, if Durant can achieve approximately 1,600 points this season, he will surpass Carmelo Anthony (28,289) to claim the 9th spot on the all-time scoring list. A healthy season with 2,000 or more points would propel him even further, surpassing Shaquille O’Neal (28,596) for the 8th spot.
Furthermore, Durant still needs to accumulate 3,108 more points to join the elite 30,000-point club, a milestone achieved by only a handful of players.
