Breaking News: Trio Apprehended for a Spate of Home Break-ins

Police announced on Wednesday that they have apprehended three masked suspects who are believed to be responsible for a string of residential burglaries in Los Angeles County.

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that these three individuals were captured on surveillance cameras breaking through sliding glass doors and entering multiple homes in Studio City. They reportedly rummaged through the properties, taking valuable items such as jewelry and handbags before making their escape in a stolen Black 2020 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with a fake license plate.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects are responsible for stealing a designer handbag from one of the homes. Interestingly, the bag contained a hidden tracking device that allowed the victim to locate the suspects. The victim then contacted the police after witnessing the suspects commit another burglary in Mar Vista before fleeing the scene.

Responding officers were able to track the suspects using the device, which led them to an apartment complex in Inglewood where the arrests were made.

An LAPD statement revealed that during the arrest, the suspects were caught trying to break open a safe that was stolen during the Mar Vista burglary. Thanks to the assistance of the LAPD’s Air Support Division, the suspects were contained and apprehended.

The suspects have been identified as Vernon Harvey, 22, Qwaee Wright, 18, and Bobby Bolton, 20 – all residents of Los Angeles.

A further investigation has revealed that these three suspects are responsible for approximately 20 other residential burglaries in West Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Police have recovered three firearms believed to be stolen during some of these burglaries, along with other stolen property that belonged to the victims.
