Breaking News: Cyberattack Targets Casino Giant Caesars – Unleashing Chaos

Caesars Entertainment, the renowned casino company, has recently fallen victim to a devastating cyberattack, as reported by The Associated Press.

Despite this attack, Caesars states that its casino and online operations remain unaffected. It is alarming to note that this cyberattack follows a similar incident at MGM Resorts International, another prominent player in the casino industry, where certain casino and hotel computer systems experienced shutdowns due to “cybersecurity issues.”

Addressing federal regulators, Caesars revealed that it cannot guarantee the security of its customers’ personal information, including the driver’s license and Social Security numbers of loyalty rewards members, following a data breach on September 7. The company claims to have taken measures to delete the stolen data, but admits that they cannot guarantee complete success.

The FBI has initiated an investigation into the incident at MGM, although no further details have been disclosed due to the ongoing nature of the investigations, according to a statement from the agency provided to The Hill.

The Hill has reached out to Caesars Entertainment and MGM Resorts International for additional information on these cyberattacks.
