Breaking News: Bruce Springsteen Postpones All 2023 Concerts, Including 8 Canadian Shows! Find out more.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2023 tour will be postponed until 2024, citing doctor’s advice.

The Boss, who last week celebrated his 74th birthday, is currently recovering from peptic ulcer disease, according to a press release. As a precautionary measure, the remaining shows for this year have been rescheduled to next year.

Earlier this month, Springsteen announced the postponement of all his September 2023 tour dates in order to receive treatment for symptoms associated with the disease. Peptic ulcer disease causes the formation of ulcers in the stomach or small intestine, leading to heartburn, nausea, and stomach pain.

The shows that were initially postponed include performances in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Albany, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Washington, Connecticut, and Ohio.

The newly postponed shows now include performances across Canada, in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto.

Additionally, Springsteen’s West Coast run in Phoenix, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco has also been postponed.

The rescheduled concerts will be announced this week and will take place at the original venues.

Treatment for peptic ulcer disease typically involves the use of proton pump inhibitors, such as Prilosec, which can heal the ulcers within four to six weeks. According to Dr. Lawrence Kosinski of the American Gastroenterological Association, people who receive treatment for the disease usually recover completely.

Springsteen expressed his gratitude to his friends and fans for their support and well wishes. He stated, “I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Reports of Springsteen’s illness first surfaced in May of this year, when he postponed three tour dates. His 2023 tour, his first in six years, began on February 1 in Tampa, Florida, with a 28-song arena show.
