Breaking News: Abraxas Academy Escape Update – All 9 Teens Apprehended by State Police from Pennsylvania Juvenile Detention Center

Nine teenagers who escaped from a juvenile detention center in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, were captured in a multiagency search. The teens, aged 15 to 17, overpowered prison employees, took their keys, and broke out of the Abraxas Academy. Four of the escapees were found after knocking on a homeowner’s door, while the other five stole a vehicle. The escapees attempted to break into a car before fleeing. All nine were captured within four miles of the detention center and will face charges of escape and assault. Approximately 60 people, including police and K-9s, were involved in the search. The nearby Twin Valley School District closed as a precaution. The escape was a coordinated effort, with the teens working together to accomplish their goal. Abraxas Academy is a secure residential treatment program for delinquent male youth.
