Breaking: DTLA Hookah Lounge Owner Convicted on Ghost Gun and Drug Charges – Shocking Details Revealed

The owner of a hookah lounge in downtown Los Angeles has pleaded guilty to illegally selling firearms, which included several ghost guns, as well as possession with the intent to sell drugs. Hovik Dagesian, a 41-year-old resident of Burbank, entered his plea to federal charges of engaging in the business of dealing firearms without a license and possession with intent to distribute at least 50 grams of methamphetamine.

Between October 2020 and January 2021, Dagesian unlawfully sold a total of 11 firearms, including an AR-15-style short-barreled rifle without a serial number, on four separate occasions. The total value of the firearms and methamphetamine sold by Dagesian amounted to $34,250.

According to court documents, Dagesian does not possess a federal firearms license, and no firearms are registered under his name. Furthermore, he sold other AR-15-style ghost guns, which are guns created from individual components and lack serial numbers. In addition to ghost guns, he also sold a semiautomatic shotgun, a Tec-DC9 pistol, and a vintage Tommy gun.

All of these illegal firearms transactions took place at Dagesian’s business, the DTLA Hookah Lounge. During the execution of a search warrant, law enforcement officers seized more than a dozen firearms from the establishment.

U.S. District Judge Mark C. Scarsi has scheduled a sentencing hearing for January 8, during which Dagesian could face a prison sentence between 10 years and life, as determined by prosecutors.
