Bravo Reality TV Star and Surgeon Accused of Rape Receives Plea Deal and Probation – Latest Updates

Hand surgeon and reality TV star, Dr. Grant Robicheaux, has recently taken a plea deal in a Fullerton, CA court to avoid non-sex-related charges, which allows him to go free on probation. Multiple women have accused Robicheaux of drugging and assaulting them after meeting at an Orange County bar, with video recordings of some of these encounters. As part of his deal, Robicheaux pleaded guilty to possessing an assault rifle and psilocybin.

The California attorney general’s office has taken over the prosecution of the case, with the only remaining accuser identified as an Israeli woman referred to as Jane Doe. New developments in the case have seen a judge dismiss charges against Robicheaux and his girlfriend, Cerissa Riley, on allegations of drugging and sexually assaulting two accusers. However, the couple is still facing lesser charges of drug and gun possession and poisoning. They’re currently free on $1 million bail ahead of a trial.

Robicheaux and Riley assert that they are swingers and that all acts were consensual. A recent Orange County hearing featured testimony from two women alleging assault by the couple. Additionally, prosecutors have interviewed at least 13 alleged victims in the case. Previously, Robicheaux was charged with harming seven victims, and Riley with five. Prosecutors are now focusing on charges involving only two alleged victims and have asked to dismiss three firearms enhancements and reduce four felony drug possession charges to misdemeanors.

The case began with Robicheaux and Riley being portrayed as sexual predators who preyed on vulnerable women in Newport Beach. Prosecutors are reportedly intending to dismiss several rape charges against Robicheaux and to concentrate on a 2017 sexual assault charge against the couple, based on new allegations involving drug use. This move follows a prior motion indicating that an independent review suggested some allegations couldn’t be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.

Prosecutors intend to file an amended complaint involving charges against at least two women, altering drug charges to accurately reflect the allegations. They will then focus on the 2017 sexual assault case. This incident allegedly involved the couple facilitating the victim’s excessive consumption of alcohol and drugs to prevent her from resisting sexual intercourse, ultimately forcing their behavior. In light of these new developments, Robicheaux and Riley maintain their not guilty plea.
