Book Penned by Young Aide Who Gave Testimony on Jan. 6 Events

A former White House aide to President Trump, Cassidy Hutchinson, who gained prominence as a congressional witness against him and his allies following the Jan. 6 siege of the US Capitol, is set to release a book titled “Enough” on Sept. 26. This upcoming book, according to publisher Simon & Schuster, will provide a riveting account of Hutchinson’s extraordinary experiences as an idealistic young woman thrust into the middle of a national crisis. At the age of 24, she courageously spoke out about the truth regarding some of the most influential figures in Washington and significant events in recent American history.

During her testimony to the House Jan. 6 committee, Hutchinson detailed her encounters with the Secret Service, recounting their resistance to President Trump’s demands that she join the mob trying to disrupt the certification of Joe Biden’s electoral victory. She also revealed that members of Trump’s inner circle tempted her with job opportunities and financial assistance while she cooperated with the committee. Hutchinson bravely stood her ground, even when her own lawyer, a former ethics counsel in the Trump White House, advised her to remember less. Despite the pressure, she remained committed to the truth, stating that her loyalties always resided there.

Hutchinson, originally from Pennington, New Jersey, previously worked in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs and served as an intern for Republicans such as Representative Steve Scalise of Louisiana and Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. The financial details of her memoir were not disclosed, but she was represented by Robert Barnett, a prominent DC attorney who has worked with former President Obama and former President George W. Bush. (Read more Cassidy Hutchinson stories.)
