World of Warcraft: The Worldsoul Saga

Blizzard has announced The Worldsoul Saga, a larger narrative encompassing the next three expansions for World of Warcraft. The first expansion, titled The War Within, is set to release in 2024.

Chris Metzen, the legendary figure behind WoW, revealed these expansions at BlizzCon. He described them as the “culmination of the first 20 years of our storytelling” and a gateway to the next 20 years of adventure.

The War Within will transport players to the subterranean kingdoms in Azeroth, introducing the Nerubians and the Earthen Dwarfs as an allied race. The expansion will feature various new zones, dungeons, raids, and exciting activities, including the return of Xal’atath, a talking knife, and the introduction of War Bands, a community-focused feature.

Details about the other expansions are scarce, but the second expansion, Midnight, will take place in Azeroth’s “Old World” of Quel’thalas, where Void forces threaten the Sunwell. The third expansion, The Last Titan, will explore Northrend, the setting of Wrath of the Lich King.

World of Warcraft: Classic Adds Cataclysm Expansion

World of Warcraft: Classic fans will soon experience the Cataclysm expansion, which revamped Azeroth, altered questlines and lore, and introduced the Worgen and Goblins as playable races. The Cataclysm expansion also brought the destructive dragon Deathwing and the new profession of Archaeology.
