Behind Bars: My Troublesome Arrest for Being ‘Lippy’

Country music sensation Zach Bryan faced an unexpected setback on Thursday when he was arrested by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in northeastern Oklahoma. In a video posted on his account on the social media site X, formerly Twitter, Bryan detailed the incident. The incident occurred when Bryan’s security guard, who was driving behind him, was pulled over by an officer in Vinita. Concerned, Bryan also stopped his vehicle and stepped out to smoke a cigarette. However, the officer confronted him and instructed him to get back into the car or face jail time.

Admitting his own role in the situation, Bryan revealed that he cursed at the officer, which resulted in him being handcuffed and placed in the patrol vehicle. Reflecting on his behavior, Bryan expressed regret, acknowledging that he was out of line and apologizing to the officers involved. He spent a few hours in the Craig County Jail before being released on bond and even spoke to the officer and shook hands before departing. Although no charges have been filed yet, Bryan understands the consequences of his actions and commits to behaving differently in the future.

With an earlier post celebrating his first No. 1 album, Bryan’s career has been on the rise. According to Billboard, his self-titled album sold 200,000 units this past week, securing the top spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Additionally, his collaboration with Kacey Musgraves, “I Remember Everything,” currently holds the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite this incident, Bryan’s success in the music industry remains unwavering. (Read more country music stories.)
