Bebe Rexha Adopts Safety Measures on Stage Following Phone Incident

Singer Bebe Rexha took precautionary measures during her “Best F’n Night Of My Life” tour after being hit in the eye with a cell phone thrown by a fan. At her second to last show, Rexha wore protective goggles and a sparkly blue top while performing her hit song “I’m Good.” Before donning the goggles, Rexha informed the audience that her only two rules for the night were not to throw phones and to have fun.

The energetic show included several of Rexha’s popular songs like “I’m Not High, I’m in Love,” “Miracle Man,” and “I’m a Mess and Sacrifice.” A video of Rexha wearing the goggles was posted on social media, and fans expressed their delight at her new accessory. One user jokingly referred to them as “Osha approved safety glasses,” while another praised Rexha for finishing the tour strongly.

Following the incident in New York where Rexha had to cancel the rest of her show and receive three stitches, she made a fashion statement with her goggles. The man responsible for throwing the phone, Nicolas Malvagna, was later detained by police and charged with assault, aggravated harassment, attempted assault, and harassment.

Sadly, Rexha’s experience is not unique, as there have been other on-stage attacks on performers. Ava Max and Kelsea Ballerini both sustained injuries during their respective shows. Ballerini addressed the incident on Instagram, assuring fans that she was fine and emphasizing the importance of creating a safe environment at concerts.

It remains unknown whether the person responsible for the attack on Ballerini was apprehended. These incidents highlight the need for increased security measures at live performances to protect the safety of both artists and fans.
