“Based on a 2021 Rakuten survey, the Philippine population has the highest dog ownership in Asia at 67% and the second-highest cat ownership at 43%. Available in 4 plans starting at P560, the base insurance covers vet reimbursement for Covered Accidents such as bone fractures, burns, drownings, bite wounds, and others listed. Dog and cat owners can then choose from additional coverages, including vet reimbursement for Covered Illnesses, acute dental conditions, accidental death or essential euthanasia, pet international travel emergency vet treatment, petnap, or pet owner’s liability.

Older pets can be insured as long as they are no older than 6 years old, and once insured, their insurance can be renewed until they reach age 12.
