Authorities are seeking assistance from the public in locating the perpetrators of two armed robberies that took place in West Hollywood.
The most recent incident occurred just after midnight on Thursday outside Craig’s, a restaurant located on Melrose Avenue. According to reports from the scene and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the suspects were described as young males in their late teens or early 20s, with at least one of them carrying a weapon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The suspects stole a watch from one of the victims and fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a third suspect, as stated in a broadcast report.
On July 19 at around 12:40 a.m., three armed suspects exited a black SUV and approached a man walking on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Larrabee Street, one block east of the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente boulevards. The man was forcefully pushed against a fence before being robbed by the suspects, according to the deputies. As an effort to identify the suspects, detectives released surveillance footage of the July 19 armed robbery to the public. It remains unclear whether the same individuals were involved in both incidents.
