New Jersey school injunction

An Injunction and the Importance of Parental Involvement in NJ Schools

In the realm of upbringing, parents indisputably should have a say in their child’s journey (“Jersey’s War on Parents,” Editorial, Aug. 17). Traditionally, this perspective has been upheld and respected within the educational setting.

Parents have always been regarded as active and vital participants on committees that address their child’s academic, emotional, social, or physical needs. Their input exhibits utmost significance. Consequently, such committee structures can be effectively employed to engage parents in discussions regarding their child’s sensitive and far-reaching issue of gender identity or expression.

To exclude or neglect parents in these conversations is not only deplorable, but also beyond the government’s jurisdiction to legislate.

In spite of the positive endeavors of Governor Phil Murphy, it is astonishing that he advocates for keeping parents uninformed about their children’s gender identity while they attend school.

As parents, we possess the right to be aware of what transpires in our children’s educational journey.

Denying parents access to information about their children’s behavior is absurd.

However, the governor and his colleagues defend the legality of keeping parents uninformed.

Regrettably, our society has turned topsy-turvy in recent times.

The notion that schools have the authority to control children without considering parental involvement reminds me of a fundamental principle – a government that is for the people, by the people, and of the people. It is a principle often forgotten.

Amidst all the arguments, it is crucial to remember that the government derives its power from the people, and it is the people, not the government, who have the final say. Once we internalize this principle, we can realign our path.

The left perceives the government as supreme, which is the basis of a dictatorship.

It is unbelievable that the Democratic leadership in New Jersey, as well as in other states, supports policies that prevent teachers from informing parents about their child’s desire for “gender affirming” care.

As parents, we cannot administer even a simple aspirin to our children without consent.

The Attorney General of New Jersey asserts that disclosing this information poses serious health risks. However, shouldn’t the Attorney General also be concerned about the health risks associated with gender-affirming care itself, especially considering the conspicuous nature of changes in appearance?

Our country is spiraling downwards due to the preposterous policies of the left.

Michael Oher Lawsuit: A Troubling Turn of Events

The recent petition filed by Michael Oher in the Tennessee probate court exemplifies the saying, “No good deed goes unpunished” (“My side of ‘Blind Side,'” Aug. 15).

Oher was a homeless teenager when the Tuohy family generously embraced him, providing financial and emotional support.

They played a vital role in shaping the person Oher has become today. It is disappointing to witness his lack of gratitude and love.

What began as a heartwarming tale with Michael Oher has now taken a sad and ugly turn.

Oher received an education, had a successful career in the NFL, and amassed considerable wealth.

Yet, this is not enough. Oher has chosen to sue the family that showed him love and transformed his life. The lack of gratitude is truly disheartening.
