Oxford Street Thrives as Pandora Opens Third Store
Pandora, the world’s largest jeweller, dismisses the notion of Oxford Street’s decline.
Although the iconic West End area has seen renowned establishments close down and an increase in low-quality sweetshops, Pandora remains optimistic about the street’s future.
Yesterday, Pandora unveiled its third store on Oxford Street and firmly expressed their belief in its potential.
‘Oxford Street is on a positive trajectory,’ stated Andrew Milner-Walker, Pandora’s property director.
‘Our confidence in the revitalization of the High Street is one of the reasons behind our decision to expand our presence in London’s premier shopping destination.’

However, Ikea’s new store opening faces delays due to additional construction work, with a planned opening now scheduled for autumn 2024.
Meanwhile, HMV is preparing to reopen its old store after a four-year absence.
The rise of online shopping and the impact of the pandemic have left Oxford Street a shadow of its former self.
Brian Duffy, CEO of Watches of Switzerland, referred to its current state as a “national embarrassment.”
