Arrest Made as Woman Allegedly Abandoned Child in Larchmont Village

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday for suspected child endangerment after leaving her toddler unattended in a stroller in Larchmont Village.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a report of an unattended child around 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday. The child was found sitting in a stroller by a concerned passerby who couldn’t locate the child’s parents.

Despite a search by detectives, the child’s parents were not found. However, a preliminary investigation led to the recovery of an ID belonging to the child’s mother, identified as Targie Alexandre.

The child was in good health but was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The father was later located by the detectives, although the location was not disclosed.

Alexandre has been arrested and charged with felony child endangerment. Her bail has been set at $105,000.
