Apple has announced that with its newest update, users will be able to turn text into their own speech using their devices. The soon-to-be-released iOS 17 will include a state-of-the-art machine learning system, with a “transformer language model” that will improve the user experience. Among the improvements will be a more intelligent autocorrect system that will allow users to enter curse words with greater ease. In addition, the system will allow users to revert back to the word they originally spelled out if autocorrect gets it wrong. Other updates include live stickers, search filters, and the ability to leave messages on Facetime. Apple is also set to release its Vision Pro virtual reality headset, which is being hailed as the world’s first spatial computer.
