Anthony Starr, famous for portraying Homelander in the series “The Boys,” confirms that he will not be voicing the character in Mortal Kombat 1.
The latest installment of the renowned fighting game franchise, Mortal Kombat 1, announced that it will feature DLC with iconic characters from TV and movies.
Netherealm has already introduced one of the DLC characters, Omni-Man, showcasing its commitment to the show Invincible with fatalities that resonate with the series’ fans.

Homelander is slated to be another DLC character, but fans were disappointed to learn that original actor Anthony Starr won’t be lending his voice to the character.

On Instagram, a fan asked Anthony Starr if he would voice the character, to which he replied directly: “Nope.”
Fans were disheartened by the news and speculated about who would replace the actor’s iconic voice associated with the laser-beam shooting hero.

“My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined,” voiced one fan in response to the news.

“Not to be dramatic, but this is the most devastating one-word answer in human history,” another person lamented.
However, some fans still held onto hope that Starr could potentially feature in Mortal Kombat 1, speculating that his one-word answer may have been misinterpreted.
“People keep hounding him for answers on this; I wouldn’t be surprised if he said no just to stop the questions.”
This disappointing news for fans came right after the announcement that the DLC character Tremor, an earth-wielding ninja, will be released on November 16, leaving players puzzled as he arrives just a week after Omni-Man.
