Another Attempt by NY Times to Discredit Clarence Thomas and Undermine Democracy

The New York Times published an extensive article on Justice Clarence Thomas’ relationship with the Horatio Alger Association, a charity that provides scholarships to deserving low-income students. The article, while seemingly intended as an exposé, highlights Thomas’ admirable efforts in meeting and mentoring scholarship recipients who come from backgrounds similar to his own.

It is worth noting that Thomas is not alone in accepting benefits from wealthy friends and sympathetic organizations, as his colleagues also engage in similar activities.

The Times attempted to portray Thomas’ association with wealthy donors and his membership in an elite club as scandalous. However, the article fails to provide any evidence that these connections influenced Thomas’ decisions or led to any inappropriate actions.

The underlying motive behind this article appears to be the left-wing agenda to undermine the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. This follows other attacks funded by left-wing dark money organizations. Despite the numerous empty exposés, the Supreme Court continues to function effectively with minimal partisan conflict.

Significantly, this year, half of the Court’s cases were decided unanimously, and liberal justices often sided with the majority. Furthermore, conservative justices have frequently ruled in favor of the Biden administration, demonstrating a commitment to fair and unbiased decision-making.

However, progressive individuals are enraged by the Court’s resistance to imposing their agenda and aim to dismantle or intimidate it into compliance. Ironically, those who claim to be defenders of democracy pose the greatest threat to its existence.
