Angus Cloud, the actor known for his role in “Euphoria,” tragically died due to an accidental overdose of drugs, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau. The bureau revealed that Cloud, 25, passed away in July at his family’s home in Oakland, California, as a result of a lethal combination of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and benzodiazepines.

The actor had been struggling with the grief of losing his father before his untimely death, as stated by his family. They mentioned his ongoing mental health issues in their initial statement after his passing. However, Cloud’s mother, Lisa, recently clarified that she did not believe her son intended to take his own life. She shared insights into his final moments on Facebook, emphasizing his genuine struggles and the love and support he received from his community. “His work in ‘Euphoria’ sparked a conversation about compassion, loyalty, acceptance, and love for his generation,” she wrote.

Angus Cloud’s death came as a shock to his colleagues and fans, as the young actor charmed audiences with his comedic talent. Discovered on the streets, Cloud quickly became a fan favorite for his role as Fezco in the HBO teen drama series “Euphoria.” Fezco, a teenage drug dealer with a compassionate side, resonated with viewers due to his complex relationships and the care he provided to his adoptive brother, Ashtray.

Cloud’s ability to navigate between levity and dark themes in “Euphoria” showcased his dramatic acting skills. Fans were particularly excited about the potential romantic storyline between Cloud’s character and Lexi, played by Maude Apatow, in the show’s second season. As Cloud did more interviews, fans noticed the similarities between his real-life demeanor and Fezco’s mannerisms. In an interview with Variety, Cloud expressed the mental exhaustion of portraying the typically stoic character, stating that Fezco doesn’t often laugh or smile.

“I’m generally an easygoing, goofy guy,” Cloud said. “But Fezco’s demeanor is quite different.”
