However, amidst all this excitement, there is a specific character update that has captured the attention of many: Anduin Wrynn’s glow-up. And let me tell you, he is now absolutely hot. The WoW community is absolutely thrilled.

First, let’s provide some context. Anduin Wrynn has been a significant character in World of Warcraft for quite some time. He is the son of Varian Wrynn, the former king of Stormwind and High King of the Alliance. In the earlier days of WoW, Anduin was portrayed as a child and later as a teenager in Stormwind. As expansions passed, he grew older and became a prominent character in Mists of Pandaria, forming a friendship with the Black Prince, Wrathion.

Mists of Pandaria marked the end of Anduin’s innocent childhood. His father, Varian, was killed in World of Warcraft: Legion, and Anduin took on the throne while still grieving. With his newfound responsibilities, Anduin, as a Priest, did his best to follow the Light and protect his people amidst multiple challenges, including war, the Burning Legion invasion, treachery by Sylvanas Windrunner, conflicts with the Horde, Old God threats, and the trauma of various World of Warcraft expansions. In Shadowlands, Anduin was captured and taken into the Maw, where he was tormented by Sylvanas and the Jailer. Eventually, the Jailer dominated his will, using him to attack the Shadowlands’ Archon and attempt to reshape reality according to his own desires. Although Anduin managed to fight back, he committed numerous acts of violence and destruction under the Jailer’s control, leaving him deeply traumatized.

Since then, Anduin has been missing. However, in the cinematic introducing The War Within, it seems that Thrall has located the absent king. And let me tell you, this guy looks like he has been through a lot. He has visibly aged, with several years having passed since his disappearance, and he appears weary and desolate.
