Allison Mack, ‘Smallville’ Actor, Released from Prison Following Alleged Involvement in Sex Cult NXIVM

Allison Mack, the television actor who gained notoriety for her involvement in the NXIVM sex-trafficking case, has been released from prison in California. Mack, known for her role in “Smallville,” was sentenced to three years in 2021 after pleading guilty to manipulating women into becoming sex slaves for NXIVM’s leader, Keith Raniere. According to federal prison records, Mack was released from a facility in Dublin, California. Her cooperation with authorities helped her avoid a longer sentence. Raniere, on the other hand, received a 120-year prison sentence for his involvement in sex trafficking.

Mack’s responsibilities also included 1,000 hours of community service as part of her sentence. A CBS New York report stated this requirement. During the trial, Mack assisted prosecutors by providing evidence of Raniere’s secret society, which involved brainwashing and branding women. Mack played a significant role in recruiting women for the smaller group known as DOS or “The Vow.” She served as a “master” in the group and supervised several “slaves.” The group’s activities involved branding women and coercing them into providing labor, taking nude photographs, and engaging in sexual acts with Raniere. Other members of the group included Clare Bronfman, an heiress to the Seagram’s liquor fortune, and Catherine Oxenberg’s daughter, who is a TV star from “Dynasty.”

During her sentencing, Mack expressed remorse and regret for her choices. She admitted to feeling filled with “remorse and guilt.” Mack’s release from prison marks a new chapter in her life after her involvement in the high-profile NXIVM case.
