MANILA, Philippines–In an action-packed duel, Ali Canega emerged victorious with a 10-round majority decision over Jhunrick Carcedo late Saturday night at the Mandaluyong City College of Science and Technology Gymnasium.

The 25-year-old Canega, representing the Elorde Fight Team, secured the Philippine Boxing Federation super lightweight belt.

In a thrilling showcase presented by Manny Pacquiao: Presents Blow-By-Blow, Canega prevailed with scores of 97-93 and 96-94 on two of the judges’ scorecards, while the third judge scored it a 95-all draw.

“It was an electrifying night of boxing,” expressed Pacquiao, the founder of Blow-By-Blow.

Known as boxing’s only eight-division champion, Pacquiao rose to prominence as the star of the original Blow-by-Blow show during the 1990s.

The victory elevated Canega’s undefeated record to 10-0 with six knockouts. On the other hand, Carcedo, hailing from SanMan Boxing-General Santos City, dropped to 9-3 with nine wins by knockout.
