After the Show, Bartise from “Love Is Blind” Removes His Permanent Engagement Jewelry with Force

  • The latest trend in jewelry is bracelets that are permanently welded onto the wearer’s wrist.
  • Jordan Parker Erb, an insider, describes them as “painless” and low-maintenance accessories.
  • Beware, though, as Bartise Bowden from “Love Is Blind” warns that they may require some force to remove.

The latest craze in accessories is permanent jewelry that is welded onto the wearer’s body. This trend is gaining popularity because it is less difficult and costly to remove compared to tattoos, and it is not painful to add to your body.

The idea of permanence was even highlighted on the show “Love is Blind,” where engaged couple Bartise Bowden and Nancy Rodriguez got 14-karat gold bracelets welded onto their wrists as a symbolic commitment to each other, just days before their wedding.

Bartise commented, “This is as permanent as it gets, I guess, huh? And hopefully that’s what marriage is. I’m not going into the marriage hoping it’s not permanent, so this is a big step for us.”

However, Nancy was able to easily remove the bracelet when Bartise left her at the altar. She stated, “It means nothing to me now.”

Bartise revealed, “I think in our wedding episode you can see Nancy ripping hers off. I had a friend rip mine off not too long after the wedding day. It requires some force.”

Despite their short-lived commitment, Insider’s Jordan Parker Erb, who has her own welded-on bracelet, highly recommends this trend. She has had her bracelet on without any issues for a year and describes it as a sweet memory and a fabulous accessory.

Though the welding produces a flash of light, it doesn’t actually hurt.

Jordan Parker Erb also shared her experience of getting a “forever bracelet” with her mom for $144 at Catbird in New York City. She reassures readers that the process is painless and describes the welding as a flash of light and a crackling sound.

In case of accidents, Catbird offers reclasping services for only $10, according to Erb.
