Adele touched hearts during her Las Vegas concert when she participated in a gender reveal for a couple expecting a baby.
Chris and Shantelle Dare, attendees of one of Adele’s “Weekends with Adele” shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, shared the special moment in a TikTok video.
The couple caught Adele’s attention with a banner requesting her involvement in their gender reveal.
Invited to the front of the stage, they handed Adele a sealed envelope containing the announcement.
“No one’s really allowed signs in here. I’m just obsessed that you got one in,” Adele remarked before the reveal, according to the video.
Although Shantelle was already 18 weeks pregnant, the couple kept the envelope sealed for several weeks in order to bring it to the concert.
“I’m just honored that you’re going to do this for us. We’ve known since 12 weeks, and we have been waiting for this moment,” Shantelle expressed to Adele, as captured in the video.
Sitting on the edge of the stage, the British singer opened the envelope and shared the news with the crowd, announcing, “Shantelle and Chris are having a baby — boy!”
The audience erupted in cheers as the couple embraced, visibly moving Adele — who herself is a mother.
“That was amazing. I’m so happy for you!” Adele sobbed while addressing the crowd. “That’s so emotional, oh my God.”
The singer even playfully asked the couple, “If and when I get pregnant, will you do my gender reveal?”
The TikTok clip has garnered over a million views and more than 156,700 likes since its posting.
