A woman in Britain is accused of deceiving a nearsighted woman into having sex with her by pretending to be a man and asking her to remove her glasses. Georgia Bilham, 21, who went by the name “George Parry,” allegedly created fake social media profiles and messaged the victim as “George_132” to trick the 19-year-old woman into a sexual relationship, according to a report in the New York Post. The victim’s poor vision was allegedly taken advantage of by Bilham, who insisted that her partner take off her glasses before engaging in any sexual activity, leaving the victim effectively blind. The prosecutor, Anna Pope, explained to jurors that “All the sexual activity that took place between those two people was based on a false pretense — and so did not involve true consent.”
In one instance, the victim reported that she attempted to remove Bilham’s Calvin Klein boxers but was stopped because Bilham claimed she was self-conscious about fabricated scabbing scars. Bilham reportedly used a picture of a cartoon blonde man wearing sunglasses as a social media picture, while allegedly telling the victim that she wore men’s clothing such as hoodies as a result of her links to an Albanian crime gang.
After conversing online, the two agreed to meet in 2021.
The teenaged girl became increasingly suspicious as time went on and began questioning Bilham to confirm her identity, but Bilham claimed that she did not have a passport and instead shared pictures of a young blonde man. The victim’s suspicions were confirmed in August 2021 during an introduction to Bilham’s mother when the victim’s mother voiced suspicions that the partner was not a man.
Bilham was arrested and has been charged with sexual assault and assault by penetration. Bilham has denied all the charges against her.
