A straightforward approach is taken by George Clooney to avoid problems as a public figure.

George Clooney shares his way of staying out of trouble in the age of social media – by avoiding it altogether. In a recent interview with the Washington Post, the Oscar-winning actor admits that he would be in trouble “if I have three drinks at night” and therefore chooses to steer clear of social media platforms. Clooney believes that one cannot be a star and be that available and praises his late friends Gregory Peck and Paul Newman for exemplifying how to carry oneself with dignity in the spotlight. Along with being honored at the Kennedy Center, Clooney is active in humanitarian efforts through his Clooney Foundation for Justice with his wife Amal, a human rights attorney. His willingness to lead and care, irrespective of his politics, is what makes him unique in Hollywood. Directed by Ethan Hawke, Clooney played the voice of Newman in this year’s HBO documentary “The Last Movie Stars”. George Clooney will be featured as part of the Kennedy Center Honors and the event will be televised on CBS on December 28 at 8 p.m.
