A-list Celebrities Named in Kevin Spacey Sexual Offenses Trial

The Oscar-winning actor shared with the jury that he had given Dame Judi a gift after they collaborated on the film “The Shipping News” in Nova Scotia. Other renowned figures mentioned during the proceedings at Southwark Crown Court included Val Kilmer, Joan Collins, and Richard Harris. Spacey recounted his experience working with Dame Judi, highlighting that it was a challenging time for her due to the recent passing of her husband. He made it his mission to bring laughter into her life and they developed a beautiful friendship. During their time filming, they stayed in a property that had a ping pong table, and Spacey took it upon himself to teach Dame Judi how to play. As a gesture of appreciation, he later gifted her a ping pong table of her own.

Spacey also shared an interesting anecdote about storing his Mini Cooper in Sir Elton John’s garage, describing it as “the most expensive” Mini Cooper ever. He had won the vehicle at an auction in the early 2000s, and Sir Elton kindly offered to store it for him.

When Spacey began giving his testimony, he reflected on his childhood and the different schools he attended in the US. He mentioned one fellow student, Val Kilmer, who he described as highly skilled in drama. Spacey also reminisced about starring in a 1986 production of “Long Day’s Journey” at the Haymarket Theatre in London alongside Jack Lemmon from “Some Like It Hot.” He shared that it was his first time in the city as an actor and that he was graciously provided accommodation by Richard Harris, who offered his son’s apartment.

The jury panel was also informed about an incident where Spacey was asked to reschedule his rehearsal time to accommodate Dame Joan Collins due to an issue with her hair. She insisted on rehearsing first.

Spacey, 63, has pleaded not guilty to charges including sexual assault and indecent assault. The alleged incidents took place between 2001 and 2013. He previously denied four additional charges of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. The trial is ongoing.
