- The prevailing acute respiratory diseases in China are caused by known pathogens.
- No new infectious diseases from novel viruses or bacteria have been identified.
- The NHC has mandated all medical institutions to fully open pediatric outpatient services and expand capacity to facilitate medical treatment seeking.
- The National Influenza Center under the Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC) stated that current antiviral drugs are effective against influenza viruses.
- China CDC is monitoring mutations.
- Recommendations from NHC include the reduction of large gatherings in public places, to dynamically divert passenger flow and avoid high concentrations of people in public venues.

Considering the hardships endured by the Chinese people due to the management of the pandemic, it would not be surprising if there is a pullback on economic activity and an increase in savings in response to this new outbreak of illness.
