Special to Yahoo Sports
Fantasy managers are gearing up for the inaugural In-Season Tournament Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Finals next week and what this new format means for fantasy leagues.
During the special tournament, every team will play two games from Monday through Friday, both of which will count toward fantasy scores. Losing teams in the quarterfinals will have a chance to play a “normal game” later in the week, while the winners will advance to play their semifinal game. Each game played by the teams will count towards their fantasy stats. However, it is important to note that Saturday’s IST Finals game will not count toward fantasy scores.
With this unique format in mind, we have some waiver wire suggestions based on every team playing two fantasy games next week. These suggestions will be beneficial for deeper formats as well.
Beasley
Beasley has been performing well recently, and his contribution to the Milwaukee Bucks is evident. Despite not being a top offensive option, he is worth considering for addition in most formats.
Richardson
With significant minutes in recent games, Richardson’s versatile skill set suggests that his roster percentage could increase in the near future. He is recording solid averages and could be a valuable addition to fantasy teams.
Rose
With injuries affecting the Memphis team, Rose has been relied upon for scoring and assist contributions. He could be a decent streaming option for the next week or two.
Fontecchio
Fontecchio has shown promise as a starter during a recent injury absence. His performance and potential role in the team make him worthy of consideration for streaming or long-term addition.
Caleb Martin, Miami Heat (14% rostered)
Martin has the ability to play multiple positions and contribute across various categories. He has been averaging solid numbers and could be a valuable addition in deeper leagues for the time being.
Hayes
Hayes has had a roller-coaster start to the season, but his recent performances show his potential as a well-rounded player. His all-around stats make him a good addition to fantasy teams in most formats.
Additionally, the impending return of Bogdanovic is expected to improve the Pistons’ offensive spacing, further boosting Hayes’ potential for fantasy success.
