Moscow is pressuring officials and civil servants in occupied parts of Ukraine to join Russia’s ruling political party United Russia, which is led by Russian dictator , Ukraine’s National Resistance Center (NRC) reported on Oct. 23.
“According to the enemy’s plan, joining the party should further legitimize the Putin regime and, thus, the region’s occupation and create collective responsibility, strengthening the collaborators’ loyalty to the occupiers,” the NRC said in a message on its website.

The message warns that Ukraine will prosecute collaborators in accordance with its laws once the territories in eastern and southern Ukraine are liberated.
“Therefore, they will have to answer for voluntary service to the enemy in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine,” the message adds.
