Intelligence reports indicate that North Korea has significantly ramped up its arms supplies to Russia, both through sea and rail transport. However, as former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zahorodnyuk noted in an interview with
Radio NV, it is challenging to assess the quality of these weapons due to the secretive nature of North Korea.
Zahorodnyuk, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Center for Defense Strategies, emphasized the lack of concrete data on North Korea’s weapons and military equipment. He highlighted that the country is highly closed off, making it difficult for outsiders to obtain accurate information.

Zahorodnyuk acknowledged that North Korea possesses a significant amount of weapons and military equipment from the Soviet era, which they transferred to China during that period.
