This Manhattan-based plastic surgeon explained that this injection works by preventing the trap muscle from contracting, resulting in a slimmer neck that emulates the figure of a Barbie doll. Additionally, traptox has been found to alleviate neck pain and headaches.
The trapezius muscle, located behind the neck and back, resembles a large triangle that extends from the shoulders to the spine and inserts into the base of the skull. Dr. Weintraub stated that traptox helps relieve neck pain and headaches by injecting a certain amount of Botox into this muscle.
The procedure involves three injections of Botox on each side between the shoulder and the neck. Results typically manifest within four to five days. Dr. Weintraub emphasized that this is the ideal procedure for individuals seeking pain relief or a slimmer neck.
