Secret Allegations Surface: Dr. Anthony Fauci’s Covert Mission to CIA HQ Tied to COVID Origins Investigation, Says Republican Congressman

According to Republican Congressman Rep. Brad Wenstrup of Ohio, Dr. Anthony Fauci was invited to CIA headquarters to participate in the agency’s probe into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, as stated in a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General.

The letter reveals that, according to information gathered by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Dr. Fauci played a role in the CIA’s review of COVID-19 origins. He was allegedly escorted into CIA Headquarters without a record of entry and participated in the analysis to influence the agency’s review.

Unfortunately, the letter does not provide specific details about the source of this information, the date of Fauci’s alleged visit, or the nature of his advice or influence on the CIA probe.

A Republican congressman has claimed that Dr. Anthony Fauci was invited to CIA headquarters to participate in the agency’s probe into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic

When asked for additional details, a spokesperson for Wenstrup declined to comment, while the CIA and NIAID did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Since the outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 in Wuhan, China in late 2019, investigators worldwide have been working to determine its origin. The two main theories are natural spread from animals to humans through close contact and a laboratory leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Although Fauci initially downplayed the lab leak theory, he later expressed an open mind on the question. The CIA’s assessment on COVID-19’s origins, declassified in June, did not reach a conclusion due to conflicting information.

In his letter, Wenstrup requested documents and communications related to Fauci’s access to CIA facilities and employees. He also asked for an interview with HHS-OIG Special Agent Brett Rowland, who was involved with Fauci’s personal protection detail during his time as NIAID director.

Fauci, who retired from NIAID in December, was considered the nation’s top infectious disease expert, and it is not unusual for the intelligence community to seek his input on COVID-19 matters.

However, Wenstrup’s subcommittee called Fauci’s alleged contact with the CIA “questionable” and raised concerns about the promotion of a false COVID-19 origins narrative by multiple federal government agencies.

The Republican-led COVID subcommittee is investigating the origins of COVID-19, gain-of-function research, coronavirus-related government spending, and mask and vaccine mandates.

Earlier this month, the subcommittee cited a CIA whistleblower who claimed that the agency bribed analysts to deny the lab leak theory. The CIA denied the allegations and stated that they are investigating.

Wenstrup and Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner set a deadline for the CIA to release all records and communications related to the COVID Discovery Team. Subpoenas were threatened if the agencies failed to comply.

As of now, it is unclear whether the documents have been provided.
