Surat Welcomes Tata Motors’ Trailblazing Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility

A new milestone has been achieved by Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, with the inauguration of their third registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) in Surat. This state-of-the-art facility, named Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect, is the latest addition to the RVSF network, following the ones in Jaipur and Bhubaneswar. With a recycling capacity of 15,000 vehicles per year, the Surat facility is committed to environmentally-friendly processes, ensuring the safe and sustainable disassembly of end-of-life vehicles.

Operated by Tata Motors’ partner, Shree Ambica Auto, the RVSF is designed to scrap end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles from all brands. This strategic move reflects Tata Motors’ dedication to customer satisfaction, economic growth, and job creation, while also addressing the demand for eco-friendly vehicle scrapping.

Re.Wi.Re is built specifically for dismantling end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles, focusing on employing environmentally friendly practices. This fully digitalized facility is equipped with dedicated cell-type and line-type dismantling stations, ensuring the safe dismantling of various components such as tyres, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases.
