Unveiling the All-New Audi Q8: A Sneak Peek at its Jaw-Dropping Redesigned Look

The Audi Q8, released in 2019, is set to receive a mid-cycle update to enhance its design and personalization options. This update follows the recent changes made to the Porsche Cayenne, which shares a connection with the Q8.

Audi has provided a sketch of the updated Q8, specifically highlighting the changes made to the rear end. Although the overall shape of the rear lights remains unchanged, the design now features an upper frame divided into five segments and T-shaped accents reminiscent of the retired TT model. While the headlights have also been updated, Audi has not yet revealed them.

At this stage, it is unclear what other modifications Audi has made to its flagship SUV. However, the brand mentions the addition of more functionality and a wider range of personalization options, making it easier for buyers to customize their unique Q8. Although speculative, it is possible that the cabin will feature additional technology, including an upgraded infotainment system.

Details regarding the powertrain specifications are still under wraps. Currently, the 2023 Q8 boasts a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine generating 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The SQ8 variant offers a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine producing 500 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. For those seeking an even more powerful option, the RS Q8 provides a revamped version of the SQ8’s V8 engine, delivering 591 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Regardless of the engine choice, all Q8 models come equipped with Quattro all-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Audi is scheduled to unveil the updated Q8 on September 5 at 12 p.m. German time, equivalent to 6 a.m. in New York and 3 a.m. in California. It is anticipated that the new Q8 and its high-performance variants will be available at dealerships nationwide for the 2024 model year.
