Liam Cunningham expresses his desire to participate in Kit Harington’s upcoming sequel series to “Game of Thrones.”

In a playful reference to Bob Odenkirk’s Emmy-nominated show “Better Call Saul,” Cunningham jokingly messaged Harington, saying, “Better Call Davos,” as he shared with Den of Geek.

As Cunningham promotes his upcoming film, “The Last Voyage of the Demeter,” he admitted, “I haven’t heard anything back. You probably know more than I do. I wish them the best to whoever’s involved in it, and if the check is big enough, I might even show up again!”

Cunningham gained popularity among fans for his portrayal of Ser Davos Seaworth on “Game of Thrones.” He was one of the few characters to survive until the end of the series, which concluded in 2019 after eight seasons on HBO.

In June 2022, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that a “Game of Thrones” spin-off centered around Jon Snow is in development, with Harington returning to reprise his beloved character.

Subsequently, “Game of Thrones” creator George R. R. Martin confirmed the series in a blog post, disclosing the working title as “Snow.” Martin clarified that the spin-off, which originated from Harington’s idea, has yet to receive official approval.

In the final season of the show, Jon Snow discovered his true parentage, revealing he is the secret son of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, implying his potential claim to the Iron Throne.

The series concluded with Snow exiled to the North after killing his aunt and lover, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Davos Seaworth remained loyal, serving under King Bran as Master of Ships.

Alongside the Jon Snow spin-off, HBO is developing several other “Game of Thrones” spin-offs, including a Nymeria series called “Ten Thousand Ships,” a Sea Snake series titled “Nine Voyages,” and a Dunk & Egg series, also referred to as “The Hedge Knight” or “Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.”
