Ice-T strongly criticizes speculations that Jamie Foxx is now a “clone or AI” after Foxx shared a video update on his health.
Last Friday, Foxx took to Instagram to express his gratitude to fans for their support during the past few months.
The Grammy-winning artist faced a “medical complication” while filming his upcoming Netflix movie, “Back in Action,” in Atlanta, Georgia back in April.
“Thank you to everybody that just prayed man, and sent me messages,” Foxx said in the video. “I cannot even begin to tell you how far it took me and how it brought me back.”
Foxx didn’t disclose the specifics of his health issue but mentioned going through something he never thought he would.
After the video was posted, social media users started speculating that it wasn’t really Foxx in the video, suggesting he might be a clone or some form of artificial intelligence due to his slightly different appearance after his illness.
Responding to these comments, Ice-T referred to those making them as “weirdos.”
“People would rather believe that Jamie is now a Clone or AI, than the man was just seriously sick and damn near died… Cause he doesn’t look EXACTLY the same???” the legendary rapper tweeted on Sunday.
“YOU look different after a bad cold!” he added.
Ice-T wasn’t the only one to point out that being sick can affect one’s appearance.
“He got very sick. That can make you look really rough,” one user tweeted.
Another person wrote: “In Jamie Foxx’s defense, when you spend a long time in the hospital, you tend to lose weight and not eat as much.”
