In an interview with Rolling Stone published on Friday, Platt was asked about his inclusion in New York Magazine’s viral Nepo Baby Issue and the surrounding discourse. Instead of addressing the question, Platt’s response was a deflection. His publicist even intervened to steer the conversation back to his new movie “Theater Camp.”
This exchange became the focus of the interview, and it quickly became a target for online mockery. Platt’s evasiveness did not go over well with the internet.

Platt, the son of renowned producer Marc Platt, joins a list of nepo babies who have faced criticism for their response to being called out on their nepotism. Celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow, Hailey Bieber, Lily Allen, and Jamie Lee Curtis have all been called out for either being dismissive or defensive about their privileged start in the industry.
