Shawn Warner’s book “Leigh Howard and the Ghosts of Simmons-Pierce Manor” tells the compelling tale of an orphaned girl who enlists the help of spectral allies to unravel the mystery behind her parents’ murder, as detailed on Warner’s website.
Warner, a retired veteran and devoted father of two, is now living his childhood dream of becoming an accomplished author, according to his author profile.
TikToker Jerrad Swearenjin, known as @internetfamouslol, captured the attention of millions with a video showcasing Warner selling copies of his book inside a Texas Kroger store, garnering over 18 million views at the time of writing.
“I was just shopping when I noticed this man trying to promote his new book,” Swearenjin captioned his video. “I normally don’t read books these days, but something compelled me to pick up a couple.”

Warner himself posted a follow-up TikTok video, revealing that he is now in discussions with his publisher regarding the release of an audiobook version and plans to publish a physical copy. On Amazon, his book currently holds the impressive title of #1 bestseller in the category of teen and young adult detective story ebooks.
