To raise funds for her mom’s medical expenses, the singer has decided to put up some of her personal items for auction. Gigi recently took a break from her singing career to treat the nodules on her throat, and she took this opportunity to auction off two of the crop tops she wore in her viral performance videos.
The announcement was made on her Facebook page on Monday, June 19. Interested bidders have the chance to own Gigi’s iconic crop tops, which will be framed and personally signed. In addition, the highest bidder will also get the opportunity to meet Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes, her band. All the proceeds from the auction will go directly to her mom’s medical fund. As of now, the bids for each clothing piece have reached P70,000.
In the caption of her post, Gigi expressed her gratitude to those who have already made purchases and extended their help in raising funds for her mom’s medical expenses. She acknowledged that it is difficult to let go of these items because they hold sentimental value, but she understands that there are more important things to prioritize at the moment.
In another post, Gigi addressed those who mocked her auction and thanked her fans for standing up for her. Aside from clothing, she is also selling her luxury bag and pre-loved high-end hair multi-styler.
Earlier this year, Gigi publicly shared her mom’s condition when she cut her hair short to show support for her mom who is undergoing chemotherapy. In May, she and her bandmates were involved in a road accident in La Union. Fortunately, Gigi did not sustain any severe injuries.
