The NHS is taking steps to restrict vaping in order to tackle the increasing number of youngsters being hospitalized due to e-cigarette use. These steps include regulating the availability of flavors and implementing stricter advertising guidelines that do not target children.
Expressing her concerns, Amanda Pritchard, the chief executive of NHS England, highlights the rise in hospital admissions among young people as a major issue.
To combat this trend, the government is considering banning disposable vaping devices and sports sponsorship deals. Additionally, e-cigarette retailers may require licenses.
According to sources in Whitehall, new regulations are likely to be introduced in the coming months, although no decisions have been made yet, as reported by The Times.
