Representative Jack Bergman has raised concerns over an anti-American website allegedly promoted by Iran’s regime, calling for the Justice Department to investigate its ongoing efforts. Bergman’s letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, obtained exclusively by Fox News Digital, urges immediate action to protect national security and religious freedoms. The website in question is called the Mapping Project and according to Bergman, exhibits far-left extremism and anti-Western ideologies and incites assassination attacks against US law enforcement personnel and American Jews. The website maintains an interactive map pinpointing the precise geographic locations of more than 500 civil society, government, national security, religious and community organizations in the state of Massachusetts that it claims should be dismantled for advancing perceived harms in the United States and Israel. Furthermore, nearly 300 of the approximately 500 organizations mapped by the Mapping Project contribute to the nation’s national security. Bergman also referenced a report on the Mapping Project by the Zachor Legal Institute, which suggests that Iranian elements are likely involved in the development and promotion of the website. The Justice Department has yet to respond to claims that it will launch an investigation into the Mapping Project.
