$4,000 Tequila Bottle Awarded to Michael Jordan at his Exclusive Golf Tournament

  • Michael Jordan, known for his competitiveness, now spends a significant amount of time at his own private golf course.
  • He recently won his own members’ tournament in partnership with PGA pro Keegan Bradley.
  • As a trophy, Bradley received a bottle of Jordan’s renowned Cincoro tequila.

Since retiring as the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan has maintained a low profile. However, we occasionally get glimpses into his extravagant life as the wealthiest athlete ever.

We know that Jordan’s competitive spirit has carried into his retirement. We also know that he has become increasingly philanthropic with his immense wealth. Moreover, it’s no secret that he enjoys smoking cigars and playing golf while indulging in his own tequila brand, Cincoro.

Recently, these two passions intersected at the members’ tournament held at Jordan’s exclusive golf course, known as the Grove XXIII in Hobe Sound, Florida.

The Grove XXIII is a top-secret location, much like Jordan himself. However, members and those fortunate enough to play on this course, affectionately nicknamed “Slaughterhouse XXIII,” often share their experiences, much to MJ’s possible dismay.

The latest revelation about the Grove XXIII comes from Keegan Bradley, a professional golfer on the PGA Tour who won the 2011 PGA Championship. Bradley recently provided the Golf Channel with a tour of his workspace, showcasing various memorabilia. Among these items was the “trophy” he earned as Jordan’s tournament partner at the Grove XXIII members’ tournament—a bottle of Jordan’s Cincoro Extra Añejo tequila.

However, this was no ordinary bottle. It was a 1.75-liter bottle of Jordan’s Cincoro tequila, presented in a special case with multiple glasses.

A quick online search reveals that the larger bottle is typically priced around $4,000, while the more common 750 ml size sells for about $1,500 per bottle.

Although Bradley did not specify when he won the trophy, leaked information from 2021 listed Bradley as Jordan’s playing partner for that year’s tournament at the Grove XXIII.

The tournament in 2021 boasted an impressive lineup of PGA golfers, including Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, and Dustin Johnson.

This is not the first time Jordan’s tequila has taken center stage. During ESPN’s “The Last Dance” docuseries in 2020, which chronicled the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-98 season, Jordan was frequently seen sipping Cincoro tequila during his interviews with the show’s producers.
