11-Year-Old Florida Boy Fires at Two 13-Year-Olds: Shocking Incident Unveiled

In an unfortunate incident in Florida, two 13-year-old boys were hospitalized with gunshot wounds, and an 11-year-old boy has been charged with attempted second-degree murder. The dispute that led to this violence reportedly started over a bag of chips. According to witnesses, the younger boy was being bullied by the older teenagers, who even slapped food from his hands.

The arrest affidavit reveals that surveillance video captured one of the teenagers chasing the 11-year-old towards his mother’s SUV. However, a bystander intervened and tried to break up the fight. Undeterred, the 11-year-old retrieved a gun from his mother’s car and fired a single shot, injuring both teens. One of the 13-year-olds was shot in the back, while the other suffered a graze on his arm. The police chief, Mike McKinley, expressed his disappointment at juveniles resorting to firearms to resolve their problems, stating that it’s a “shame” they are ruining their lives. He also mentioned that charges will be filed against the mother for keeping the gun unsecured in her car.

Authorities have charged the 11-year-old with attempted second-degree murder. When asked why only one charge was filed while two teenagers were shot, McKinley explained that the court can choose to separate the charges. However, he believes it is unnecessary to burden an 11-year-old with multiple charges, especially considering his lack of criminal history. The boy is currently held in a juvenile detention center.
