1. “Captivating Insights Revealed: Unveiling the Enchanting Letter My Husband Penned Just 24 Hours Ago!”

Suzanne Somers’ husband, Alan Hamel, presented the beloved actress with a heartfelt handwritten letter just one day before her passing at the age of 76 on Sunday.

Hamel, who is 87 years old, gave the poem to Somers as an early birthday gift. Sadly, the iconic star passed away shortly before her 77th birthday, which would have been on Monday.

According to her publicist, R. Couri Hay, Hamel “gave it to her a day early, and she read the poem and went to bed and later died peacefully in her sleep.”

The note was written in all caps and delicately wrapped in pink peonies.

“Love, I use it every day, sometimes multiple times a day. It’s my way of signing off emails to my beloved family. I even use it when writing to close friends. I say it when I’m leaving the house,” the note began, as reported by People. “There’s love, then there’s love you, and then there’s I love you!! These are just some of the different ways we use love. Sometimes, I feel obligated to use love in response to someone who signs off their email with love, even if I’m uncomfortable using it. But I use it anyway.”

“I also use love to describe a fantastic meal. I use it to express how I feel about a show on Netflix. I often use love to refer to my home, my cat Gloria, or the things Gloria does. I love the taste of a cantaloupe I grew in my garden. I love biting into a fig fresh from the tree. I love watching two giant blackbirds who live nearby swooping by my window in a power dive. My daily life is filled with people and things I love, as well as things and people I am indifferent towards,” he continued. “I could go on endlessly, but you understand. But what kind of love do I feel for my wife Suzanne? Can any of the aforementioned types of love be applied to her? Absolutely not! There is no version of the word that adequately describes Suzanne, and even my use of the word ‘applicable’ doesn’t suffice.”

“The closest approximation in words falls significantly short. It doesn’t even come close, not even a fraction of a fraction of a fraction. Unconditional love doesn’t capture it. ‘I would take a bullet for you’ doesn’t capture it. I weep when I think about my feelings for you. ‘Feelings’… that’s getting closer, but it’s not the whole picture.”

“55 years together, 46 of which we were married, and not even one hour apart during those 42 years. Even that doesn’t capture it,” he added. “Even going to bed at 6 o’clock and holding hands as we sleep doesn’t capture it. Gazing at your beautiful face while you sleep doesn’t capture it.”

“I’m back to feelings. There are no words,” he concluded. “There are no actions. No promises. No declarations. Even the renowned scholars at Oxford University Press have spent 150 years and still can’t find that one word. So, I will call it ‘Us.’ Uniquely, magically, indescribably wonderful ‘Us.’

Somers and Hamel exchanged vows in 1977. She had a son, Bruce, who is now 57, from her previous marriage to Bruce Somers, which ended in 1968. She also became a stepmother to Hamel’s children, Stephen and Leslie Hamel.

Somers passed away on Sunday morning after battling an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years, according to her publicist.

Somers’ family plans to gather on Monday to honor and celebrate her extraordinary life. A private family burial will take place this week, followed by a memorial service next month.

Somers was most famous for her roles as Chrissy Snow on the 1970s sitcom “Three’s Company” and Carol Foster Lambert on the ’90s family comedy “Step by Step.”

The author is survived by Alan, their three children, and six grandchildren.
