Help Needed: Identify Assailants Who Stole Dog in Violent North Hollywood Store Attack
On Tuesday at around 12:45 a.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a robbery at a convenience store located in the 11100 block of Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood. They are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male and a female involved in the incident.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim entered the store with her dog on a leash before being assaulted by the assailants. The attack was unprovoked and the suspects used excessive force to take the dog from her.
The female suspect was dressed in all-black clothing, including black shoes, while the male suspect wore a black-and-white sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes.
The dog, named Drake, is an 11-year-old gold pit bull and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. Detectives have released surveillance images of the suspects and the dog in hopes of identifying them.
