An auto repair shop owner showcases the detrimental effects of vermin on vehicles, emphasizing the importance of addressing the issue promptly. The captivating TikTok video, shared by Concept 3 Performance, a Santa Fe Springs, California-based garage, has garnered over 310,000 views since its upload on Tuesday.
The video, available on Concept 3 Performance’s (@concept3performance) TikTok page, begins by featuring one of the repair shop’s employees inquiring about the car’s issue to William Chang, the owner of the garage.
Chang responds, stating, “I believe this case is self-explanatory.”
Subsequently, the camera zooms in on the vehicle’s open hood, unveiling an extensive collection of nuts accumulated within the engine bay.
William stoops down, inspecting the area underneath the vehicle, and remarks, “The undertray, an aid in reducing driving drag and lift, is completely covered in filth.”
Jokingly, one of William’s employees comments, “The squirrels were living quite luxuriously over here.”
The employee further jests about the squirrel’s reaction upon discovering the depletion of its food stash.
However, William clarifies that the customer identified the miscreant animal as a rat, which scurried out of the engine bay after the hood was opened.
According to William, the customer exclaimed, “That rascal was having a feast.”
The employee who initially speculated that a squirrel may be responsible for the damage also raises the possibility of a rat infiltrating an existing squirrel nest.
William agrees, stating, “That’s also a possibility.”
Viewers responded to the vermin infestation portrayed in the video, with a TikTok user commenting, “Living in the countryside, this occurrence is quite common! Always remember to inspect the engine bay.”
Another viewer adds, “Undoubtedly rats. They have a penchant for engine bay insulation and nibbling on wires [as evidenced in the video’s conclusion].”
