Aug. 25 (UPI) — Becky G is preparing for the release of her upcoming third album, Esquinas, which she announced during an appearance on Today show on Friday.
“I am thrilled to reveal that my album will be titled Esquinas,” Becky G revealed, with the English translation meaning “corners.”
In her explanation, she said, “I have always seen myself as the intersection where two flags, two cultures, two languages converge, rather than being confined to one side or the other of the streets that raised me. I am the embodiment of two worlds. I take pride in my Latina roots and my upbringing in Inglewood.”
Becky G, who was born in Inglewood, California to Mexican American parents, has previously released two Spanish-language albums, Mala Santa (2019) and Esquemas (2022).
During her appearance on Today, Becky G performed her songs “Chanel,” “Arranca,” and “Mamiii,” and also discussed her upcoming headlining tour, Mi Casa, Tu Casa.
She expressed her excitement about the tour, stating, “I invite everyone to Casa Gomez, which is my last name. It will be a beautiful experience to perform my songs live for my fans.”
The Mi Casa, Tu Casa tour will commence on September 14 in Boston and conclude on October 14 in Phoenix.
