To run the highly-anticipated sequel, Alan Wake 2, on PC, Remedy has revealed the full system requirements. Assessing how your machine will fare when running the PC version is made easy with minimum, recommended, and ultra specs, as well as different ray tracing settings. It seems that a powerful rig will be necessary just to run the game, let alone maximize performance.
The requirements, which were recently posted on Remedy’s social media channels, indicate that upscalers will be required for 30fps, and the game will take up approximately 90GB of storage.
Here’s the breakdown of the full spec:
“Looks like we’ll need to wait for Alexander Battaglia’s optimized settings from Digital Foundry to determine the performance vs visuals,” commented one user on Twitter. “These PC requirements are scary AF.”
If you’re eagerly anticipating the release of Alan Wake 2 later this month but can’t quite remember the events of the first game (which is understandable, given that it was released over a decade ago), Fortnite might have the answer. Yes, you read that right.
